As CEO and Co-founder of Funded, LLC, John brings significant business process outsourcing and technology related management experience to this position. John began his career at AT&T where after 20 years he moved to Arizona and became the Vice President & General Manager for Cox Communications, responsible for the exponential market growth in their southwest B: B sector. He was asked by the senior business and political leadership of AZ to start a company that would make a significant impact toward the K-12 education betterment in Arizona. John is a graduate of Columbia University and has been an active Board member for both: The Arizona Governor’s Council for Innovation & Technology (GCIT) and The Arizona Technology Council. As a technologist, John has held senior leadership positions with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, Tellium and Cox Communications.

As CFO/CMO and Co-Founder of Funded, LLC, Karen grew up in Montreal, Canada and has lived on the East and West Coasts. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Communications - Sales and Marketing. Her career focus has been in sales, marketing, business development and management with varied companies including Xerox and CPT. She spent over 10 years with AT&T both in the field and headquarters working with small, mid-sized and Fortune 100 clients. She and John used their technology and business backgrounds to create GETFUNDED because they wanted to support K-12 education. Supporting education has been especially important to them as they have two sons who are in middle and high school. Karen enjoys her family, working in her community, yoga and Pilates and traveling.

Nicole is a native of Michigan where she attended Eastern Michigan University for Elementary Education. She boldly made the move to Arizona 8 years ago to take a position at an Elementary School in Glendale Arizona. During her six years of teaching 3rd grade as an English Language Development teacher, she decided to broaden her knowledge and attend Arizona State University for a Master’s in Education with a reading endorsement. As an account executive of GETFUNDED she enjoys providing the support to obtain the necessary funding to the schools and libraries to fund their technology needs. In her spare time she enjoys staying active and being outdoors.

Ali is a native of Arizona, and raised in Scottsdale. She attended the University of Kansas where she received a degree from the William Allan White School of Journalism in Strategic Communications and Marketing. After graduation, she promptly moved to San Diego, California and was offered a position where she worked in both Public Relations and Technical Recruiting. After a year, she decided to return to Scottsdale to be closer to family and friends. Soon after she was recruited by GETFUNDED, she enjoys working with her clients to help build those relationships that allow them to provide the technology to their students and further enrich their lives through education. When not hard at work, she likes to keep her mind and body healthy with Hot Yoga, Reformer Pilates, Hiking and other outdoor activities.

Laura is originally from Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Shortly after graduating from Western Michigan University, she moved to Phoenix for an elementary teaching position. She immediately took a position and taught for five years: one year of fifth grade math, two years of third grade, and an additional two years of second grade. She enjoys working for GETFUNDED because of her passion for helping others. As a former teacher, she understands the importance of technology in classroom to enhance the curriculum. When she is not hard at work in the office, you can find her hiking, reading, or spending time with friends.

Ryan has been interning with the GETFUNDED team over the summer since 2013. He is a high school student with a penchant for math, analytics and social media. He plans to study business in college with an emphasis in entrepreneurism. His strengths enable him to analyze large amounts of data and research information for our clients. He enjoys working with the team and is continually learning about the E-Rate process and business in general. He will graduate high school in 2016 and plans to attend the Honors College at the University of Arizona.
